So many busy moms lament that they don't have time to make tortillas. This happened to me last me night. Since my 8 year old had helped me make them before and had done such a marvelous job, I asked her if she'd like to make them for me all by herself. She gleefully said, "Yes!"
I have been trying to give her more household duties as she enjoys them and it keeps her from being bored. And she feels useful! She did a fabulous job helping to make dinner last night. We praised her efforts and told her that she had just saved us from spending $5 at the store! We explained how valuable all the kids' work is to the family.
